| TOP 100 is a special honour for innovative German small-to-medium-sized companies.
Berlin (02.04.2001) KRESS-elektrik GmbH & Co. is among the most innovative small-to- medium-sized companies of the year 2001. Reason: The company located in Bisingen successfully took part at the project „TOP 100 – the innovative small-to-medium sized companies – Germany“.
KRESS-elektrik produces and sells power tools from percussion drills to saws, milling and orbital sanders, wet and dry suction units and hot-air blowers. The company founded 1928 is among the leading suppliers in Europe. This extensive range of products for DIY-enthusiastics and professionals and, in particular, its product innovations and numerous patents guarantees this company continuous growth in a competitive market.
TOP 100 is a project to support and emphasize of innovative results at the German small-to-medium sized companies. The selection of the companies was effected on the basis of scientific procedure developped by the Research Centre for Applied Marketing (FORAM) at the university Hohenheim. Head: Prof. Dr. Hans Hörschgen. Patron of this project is Prof. Dr. Hans-Jürgen Warnecke, President of the Frauenhofer Gesellschaft.

On the assessment and selection of the companies different factors of success had been considered. Beyond the analysis of business management (e.g. sales increase, employee increase, increased shares of the market) product resp. service innovations or innovations in the field of staff, organisation or business culture form a further criterion. Additionally, the management has to be assessed: Are the company’s targets clearly phrased? Has the management visions?
The results at KRESS-elektrik were extremely positive which leads to the admission among the innovative small-to-medium-sized TOP 100 companies. A book has come out where all TOP 100 companies of the year 2001 are presented in detail – also KRESS-elektrik GmbH & Co. The book „TOP 100 – the innovative small-to-medium-sized companies – Germany 2001 is obtainable on the market at a price of EUR 40,90.
