With immediate effect, all KRESS one-hand and two-hand angle grinders meet the new EU standard which entered into force on 01.12.2009. In plain text, this means that with regard to their handling and their low vibration development they are reliable aids to professionals, providing excellent service, day in, day out.All KRESS angle grinders are low-vibration and safe to work with, and thus comply with the new EU standard EN 60745-2-3.
From now on, they include the following standard featur

KRESS has taken comprehensive measures to make its angle grinders even more efficient and safe to work with. These primarily include comprehensive protective measures to prevent accidents in handling. For instance, switching on requires two operations; switching off only one. The start-up protection feature is also new; this prevents automatic start-up after an interruption in the power supply or to operations, and securely locks the switch.
A very important protective measure is the rotatable protective cover. It prevents operating personnel being hit by flying parts in the very rare event of a grinding wheel breaking. It can be swivelled to any side and replaced without tools. Last but not least, the vibrations have been reduced so that the concentration and productivity of the operating personnel are not impaired.
